At North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry we pride ourselves in utilizing the most state-of-the-art technology so that our patients receive the safest and most up-to-date dental care available. We are one of the only general dentistry offices in the county to have the capability to get 3-dimentional CT scans in our office. The Kodak 9000 focused field cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology provides the most accurate 3-D radiographic images available for dental diagnosis and treatment planning while having the lowest radiation exposures available.
This technology provides a highly accurate 3-D radiographic image for the diagnosis, planning, and treatment of orthodontics, dental implants, TMJ analysis, airway assessment, and other dental procedures. Undistorted, anatomically correct views of the jaws, teeth and facial bones along with cross-sectional, axial, coronal, sagittal, cephalometric and panoramic views are easily generated. Three-dimensional images enable a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies.
The Kodak 9000 3D system is the only system on the market that allows doctors to scan only the area of your mouth that is of interest for your procedure. Focused field scans allow us to limit the radiation dose that you are exposed to. We utilize this technology for placing dental implants, removing wisdom teeth, accurately performing root canal therapy, and for orthodontic treatment.
